It’s that time of the year again…

Daylight is disappearing and there’s a cold wind blowing and I want to hibernate.

As an antidote to the gloom and chill – and to ease the frustration of shortened working hours, due to lack of decent light – I recommend visitingthe website of  32 Degrees North.

Despite the chilly sounding name, it is crammed full of things to tempt even the most grouchy of hibernating bears into a burst of seasonal cheer and creativity.

This year we found our advent calendars on their website.

After making some very difficult choices – too many to choose from ! – we took the plunge and invested in four.

These then arrived in record breaking time – via international post – and they were extremely well packed – in no less than a cardboard box !

You will need a credit card to shop on the 32 Degrees North Website – which may be a bit of a drawback – but they do have an Etsy Shop too, where Paypal is accepted.

So give yourself a treat and visit them for

  • Unique handmade decorations
  • Craft Supplies
  • Vintage paper scraps
  • Modern paper scraps
  • Czech blown glass baubles
  • Spun glass
  • Ready to decorate papier mache shapes
  • Decorative papers
  • German glitter glass
  • Cards

and much, much more

Their blog is also well worth a visit, and is a great way to get ideas and inspiration – as well as admiring the inventiveness of others !

One item, that particularly caught my eye on my last visit, was made by Etsy seller – kitschavan

Now that’s what I call a Christmas Tree !
